The Government of Vietnam has just issued Resolution No. 127/NQ-CP dated August 14, 2023 on the application of electronic visa issuance for citizens of countries and territories; international border gates allow foreigners to enter and exit by electronic visa.

Vietnam’s Government has officially extended the temporary residence period to 45 days for citizens of 13 countries. This decision, outlined in Resolution No. 32 in 2022, applies to citizens of Germany, France, Italy, Spain, the UK, Russia, Japan, Korea, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Finland, and Belarus. Regardless of passport type and entry purpose, these citizens will be granted a temporary stay of 45 days from the date of entry, as long as they meet the entry conditions specified by Vietnamese law.

(From today, Tourists can now visit Vietnam with greater ease and convenience.)

The resolution takes effect from August 15, providing a longer time for visitors to explore Vietnam and enjoy their stay.

Furthermore, the Government has implemented Resolution 127, which enables the issuance of electronic visas to citizens of all countries and territories. This development facilitates the entry and exit process by allowing foreigners to apply for visas electronically. However, it should be noted that not all border gates and airports in Vietnam accept electronic visas. The Government has provided a list of authorized entry points, including 13 international airports and eight land border gates, such as Noi Bai, Tan Son Nhat, Danang, and Phu Quoc.
